About Newcastle SUP
Newcastle Standup Paddlesurfing was formed in 2005.

Standup Paddlesurfing is a traditional Hawaiian sport which promotes balance, strength and general fitness.

It is excellent for surfers and non-surfers alike, as it provides an isometric workout that strengthens your core muscle groups, while giving you a fun and exciting way to view the natural surroundings.  Newcastle Standup Paddlesurfing is your one stop shop to get you out on the water to enjoy this sport that has made a massive resurgence workwide whether it be high performance SUP surfing, SUP cruising with the family or the exhilerating SUP open ocean racing where you surf the rolling ocean swells, we have the right equipment for you.

With over 20 years experience in the surf industry and one of the pioneers of the sport within Newcastle, having learnt from the likes of Brian Keaulana and Todd Bradley you can trust that you will get the service you deserve.  Some of our customers include Luke Egan, Mark Richards, Bruce Raymond and Perry Hatchett.

Standup Paddlesurfing is a relatively new sport and often we see people fo out and buy the wrong equpment based on other peoples opinions.  The true review is the one you do yourself.

What we recommend is that you check out your local Standup Paddlesurfing school and have a go on the variety of boards they offer to assist you in making the right decision.

We are Newcastle's only surf school that offers SUP lessons by fully qualified, experienced and insured instructors.  Not only do we cater for first timers, we also specialise in SUP surfing skills and open ocean swell riding with clients coming from as far as Sydney & Melbourne to get expert advice.  So call us today and book your next lesson!

We also retail a range of tow surfing equipment as well as shortboards and longboards with designs from C4 Waterman, Dale Chapman & Boardworks.
