C4Waterman Australia's team rider Beau Nixon made it through to the quater finals at the Roar Industries SUP competition held over the weekend at the ever popular SUP surf break of Currumbin Alley, Queensland. The first day saw competitors greeted with howling crossshore wind which made surfing difficult in the bumpy conditions. Beau surfed well to make it through to the quaters on Sunday, and although the wind wasn't as severe the waves had deterioted in size making it just as difficult. Beau was super stoked to make it that far in those conditions and said it was some of the most testing conditions he has surfed in. Beau will now focus on the Snowy McAlister Festival being held at Manly on the 12th/13th June where he is hoping for some cleaner surf.
